The Cal – Calendar/Google Exchange by developers Any.Do has just acquired an update to version 1.1.4 that contains some vital security updates. This application is known for being able to keep people who have lots to do and would usually find it hard not to create a cluttered environment organized better than anything else out there on the market.

These days you can never be too careful when it comes to safety, protection and confidence, making sure your applications are very secure and not just your device itself. Not many people would think that the calendar app could be exploited in any way, but it just goes to reveal you that it can. By using the updated version, you will be less prone to attacks, although the developers have not mentioned specifically what they have changed.

It is a very small update coming in at 12 MB in size so there is no problem installing this over the air and using the handset data allowance. To install it successfully, it needs to be running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and up. This app is also appropriate for just about all ages with “low maturity” rating given and it has already received over 1 million installs. The developers issued the update on the 20th of April.

So far we have heard mixed reviews for this app. Some users do not see any use for it because they are already using other calendar apps that act in a very similar manner. Other users are still reporting some existing bugs that they would rather see taken away such as a pause in sliding left or right from the monthly view. For the most p[art, however, people are leaving happy responses and saying they are delighted to have started using it.
