Two of the most popular ways one can customize the Nokia X2 smartphone is by installing a custom kernel or a custom ROM. Much like a custom ROM, a custom kernel can increase a device’s performance and increase the battery life. That’s about where the similarities end between the two. A custom ROM will then completely change the design of your ROM whereas the custom ROM will appear as though it is just like your stock ROm was out of the box, without any additional features.
