Here’s an update that comes with a stack of applications to go along with the other goodies: the XXCMI2 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean — that is an “I” for igloo and not a one if you need it for further references. This one is specially made for the Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000, and it’s important to note that it is not made to work on any of the other devices, including some of the other one’s from the Note series so don’t try it.
The XXCMI2 begun its rollout over the air about 7 days ago now. The manual file was made available roughly 5 days ago. To get yours, you can visit the link provided at the bottom of the post, labelled appropriately.
The international Note’s that have the 3G and/or WiFi capabilities have just gotten this update and will continue to see the firmware arrive OTA for the days ahead.
Once you get the file you can install it using ODIN. If you don’t know what you are doing you must search for a guide to avoid causing any unnecessary damage.
Even if the new applications aren’t your type of thing, you should still pursue this upgrade. It’s important to keep up to date for a number of reasons; one being the device will be as secure as possible because any security threats will have been removed. Moreover, it should also run better than before and as optimally as possible for the time being until the next one rolls around.
There won’t be much difference in the way it looks and feels. It is still running off of the same 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The only difference is the new inclusions and the exploits taken out.
The roll out should end over the next 10 days — give or take — because it has already been going for a week. This will be the final times devices in Germany will receive it into the settings of the tablet.
Samsung was expecting slow sales figures for the N8000 after its release in 2014. The company knew that the 10 inch tablet was not considered the most popular sizes for a tablet any more. Whilst it might not seem big to a company, the size of Samsung still does create wide eyes to the public. When they say slow, they were still wanting between 400,000 and 600,000 units to be sold each month. There is no estimation of what they would have considered fast unfortunately, but it must be above that. Those statistics are on a world scale.
