If you were wondering when Google would update the popular ‘keep’ application I can safely say the wait is over thanks to the fresh release of the Google Keep 2.2 for Android.
My love for note taking applications goes very deep. I have reviewed many on iOS such as Evernote that I use daily and for the times I use Android I always use Google Keep. A simple place where reminders and notes can be added, this app has a friendly enough interface to keep me coming back for more.
It got even more appealing in this update that brings in a new orange action bar, different styling in the UI, and updated trash area. Unlike Evernote, ‘Google Keep” has a very Metro look that is similar to Windows 9 and 8.1 by design with colourful tiles that work as widgets that give quick access to note taking. These are visibly big and easy to read after being saved. The prominent highlight in this update is the image search.
Today’s edition is brand new and just released. If you go to the Play Store the official app only says current version 2.1.01 and not the 2.2 that we have here via the APK file. The Play Store has the tendency to change from country to country so it may be updated for you if you decide to check there, but for many we can say it will not be yet. This APK is an official release by the mountain View company and after installing it will take away the old version and install this over the top.
Download the APK file here from Media fire. It’ suitable for “low maturity” and requires Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and up to work. Most of you should be running the that at this moment since we are completely into the KitKat stages of the newest smartphones.
This application is supremely popular with over 10 million installation to date.
