Your Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition is now equipped with a custom recovery that will help you flash custom ROMs and custom kernels on your device. Just reboot into the newly installed recovery mode and check out all the features it has for you. All you need to do now is find out what is needed to boot the Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition smartphone into the custom recovery partition so you can use it.

There are a few custom recovery images that people usually install on a smartphone or tablet that runs Android operating systems these days. The most popular one is the TWRP Recovery by Team Win. The other two are the ClockworkMod recovery that we have here on the Philz Touch Recovery which is a touch-based recovery based on ClockworkMod Recovery.

Just because CWM Recovery is no longer being developed doesn’t mean that is isn’t a great custom recovery image for people to install. It has most of the same features TWRP. The main difference is that it isn’t a touch recovery which means you have to use the Volume buttons and the Power button to navigate and confirm commands whereas the touch versions use the smartphone or tablet display just like you are used to navigating with daily when you turn on your device.

ClockworkMod Recovery has enough juice to give you the chance to install any custom ROMs or custom kernels that you might want to try, and it still allows for all the other things like taking NANDroid Backups.
