These are the guidelines to root the Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920F device running on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update. The guide uses the CF-Auto-Root tool by Chainfire and the Odin flashing tool put together by Samsung.

The CF-Auto-Root in this guide for the Samsung Galaxy S6 SM-G920F is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and the LMY47X.G920FXXU3QOKN firmware build number. You do not need to be running that same firmware on your Sammy S6 smartphone. You should use that LMY47X.G920FXXU3QOKN firmware build number information as an indicator if necessary. Chainfire tells us that some of the older images will not boot on selected Samsung devices.
