An Android user operating with root access is the equivalent to a Windows user operating with administrator permissions. Without the admin permissions, we do not have full access to the system. Not having that kind of access limits what we can do; we call this locked down with factory resections. There are many advantages to having root access, but you shouldn’t have root access unless you are an advanced Android user. If you deleted the wrong files from the internal system, you can damage the device. Furthermore, if you don’t know how to easily identify malware, you could have it on your device more easily. Root access allows malware to find its way on a device far easier than it would with the restrictions in place by Google.

  10. Click the CSE Flash button on the right side.
  11. Click the Start button, followed by the OK button.
  12. You don’t need to tell it what your country is or the region; just wait for the firmware to flash to your device.

Once you have the stock ROM on your Verizon LG G4, you are unrooted. You can check that it worked by installing the root checker app from the Google Play Store. The one root checker app we have is just one example. You can find plenty of others at Google Play. It’s best to double-check the root access is revoked before sending it away under warranty or it will come back to you and not fixed.
