Kaspersky Lab and myself share something in common: we both are from Australia, and if you live in the great land down under then it is internet security you should try. They offer antivirus packages for the home, business and will even cater for small businesses. But where we love this security software is for mobile phones and tablets where it is free to use instead of just having a free 30 day trial, and it protects your devices from viruses, trojans, malware, spyware and more. As so often is the case, it is only the “Lite” versions of these applications that you need. I use the free version offered by AVG, and I have not had any problems with it since the first day I started using it. Even though it doesn’t offer all the features that don’t mean it won’t keep you protected from all the common nasty elements found around the web and the same will happen for you here with Kaspersky too.
On the 10th of March Kaspersky’s antivirus was updated to version 22.214.171.124, and it is readily available for downloading from the Google Play store here for free. They have a long history of looking after computers and electronic devices dating back since 1999. This update does not have a lot inside of it. There’s some minor bug fixes and improvements that make it a better option to download than the last version so if you want to go with this companies antivirus to keep your Smartphones and tablets safe then this is the current up to date version you should be looking to get your hands on.
Many people rate Kaspersky as the best internet security on the market and you can browse the comments of the application page from Google Play to see many testimonies. They also offer a technical support section in the footer of the official website that lets users send in reports about suspected viruses.
The interface is easy to use. The first screen will let you know that the device is protected, and underneath has many options ranging from scan, update, browser, privacy protection, call & text filter, anti-theft, settings and a help section.
“We believe that everyone – from home computer users and small companies to large corporations and governments – has the right to be free from cyber-security fears. We have therefore made it our mission to provide the world’s most effective, responsive and efficient protection against cyber-threats: those from malware, spam, hackers, DDoS attacks, sophisticated cyber-espionage tools, and cyber-weapons that target countries’ critical infrastructure with potentially catastrophic consequences. We’re here to protect our users from them all.”
