One of the most painful things on this earth when shopping is seeing how much your local store has the prices inflated, so then you decide to hit up the online store where it is cheaper, but then you need to pay for shipping and the thing only comes in at a fraction under what you would have paid from the dreaded store that made you mad in the first place. This is not the for this HTC One S deal.
If you wouldn’t mind owning the One S then T-mobile currently have a deal going that would make it all yours for only $179.99. That also includes the sipping payment because, well, there isn’t one.
This one comes from a company called “shop cell deals” and they do a fair bit of work via eBay. If you can’t find this deal still going by the time you managed to read this, by all means, hit up their E-bay page for some extra deals.
This mobile when brand new was the flagship for HTC back in its day. It has an a lot going for it including a Sense 4.1 UI and Android 4.0.1 software. Since then it has seen Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
Furthermore, the physical display size is 4.3-inches. It has 540 x 960 pixels screen resolution, 256 ppi pixel density, super AMOLED screen technology and scratch-resistant glass. In addition, you also get the usual proximity sensor and light sensor.
Moreover, the rear-facing shooter is 8 megapixels and the front-facing shooter is a mere 0.3 megapixels with VGA. It comes with many additional features including Autofocus, Back-illuminated sensor, ISO control, Smile detection, Face detection, Dynamic Range mode, White balance presets, Burst mode and a 1080p HD Camcorder.
The system chip is a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8260A, coupled with a Dual core, 1500 MHz, Krait processor. It has 1024 MB RAM system memory and comes with 16 GB internal storage space.
The battery is lackluster and there’s no kinder way of putting it. if you can live with 7 hours of talk-time and 17.9 days stand-by time then you would do fine. However, keep in mind that those times are recorded in a brand new smart phone and will diminish as time goes on.
