Residents of the United Kingdom will soon start to see a fresh Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 LTE variant arriving on store shelves later on this month, according to reports. The Ace series is always producing a solid mid-ranger that remains popular throughout the years of its first existence. We don’t hear much about them anymore, with a bevy of smartphones coming out under the Galaxy name and a lot of those producing fantastic specifications under the mid-range market. Nonetheless the Ace remains a solid choice this year for those looking to jump on the prepaid service and not a plan.
Moreover, if you want to buy a brand new phone that has a dual core processor, fast 4G mobile data support and NFC all without breaking the bank, this is a great choice for you. However, understand that it does not come with any autofocus on the camera before purchasing. lf you are someone who must have a high-quality camera, it’s worth taking a look in other directions. Coming into the later part of 2014, a camera should come with autofocus at the very least. However, if happy snaps are not on your priority list, then you have nothing to worry about as overall it is only a small feature it’s lacking.
There are two phone carriers starting to pick this one up by the 17th of October. The two brands are EE and O2 UK. No company is offering prices at this stage even though the official date is kicking off in roughly 72 hours time. You should spend at least a few days looking into the prices once they are available and weigh up if it works out as the better deal before rushing into the stores.
To serve as a refresher, the Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 comes with Android 4.4 KitKat software out of the box, weighs 130 grams and has the dimensions of 4.78 x 2.48 x 0.43 inches. It has a 4.0 inch physical display size, 480 x 800 pixels resolution, 233 ppi pixel density, Super AMOLED screen technology, Proximity sensor and light sensor. The camera sports a 5 MP shooter on the rear and a measly 0.3 MP on the front, making it one camera to forget about. However, you do get some extra perks including Exposure compensation, Geo tagging, Digital zoom and White balance presets.
The hardware boasts a Dual core, 1200 MHz processor, 1024 MB RAM system memory, 4 GB of internal storage space and there’s an additional 64 GB of maximum external storage space available from microSD and microSDHC cards.
Getting down to the bare essentials, the Ace 4 also comes with Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, 802.11 b, g, n WiFi, USB 2.0, Micro USB, USB charging, it is a Mass storage device, Tethering, OTA sync and Computer sync options.
